Hello Smoothie Warriors! 

Thank you to all those who have already completed the shipping and tax requirements on BackerKit for your ordered game(s). Much appreciated.

If you haven't yet completed the required steps please do so now. This will avoid any delays once the manufactured games are ready for shipment. We are aiming for a very fast turnaround in the fulfillment centre but to do this we need all shipping and tax on orders already processed and paid for. 

Any issues completing the BackerKit process please contact me directly.  You should have received an email requesting you to complete a 'survey'. [It's not the best user-experience in my view, but it's outside of my control!]

Smoothie Wars- next steps - taxes and shipping payment

Hi folks. The manufacturing of the games continues on track and so we are now moving to collect payment of sales tax and, if needed, shipping on your orders so that when the games are ready in early December there is no delay in sending them out to you.

Because pledgers comes from many different countries we are using a software system called BackerKit to process taxes and shipping. The rest of this message is about BackerKit and what you need to do next.

During next week you should receive an email from BackerKit asking you to complete what is described by Backerfit as a 'survey'. [I don't know why BackerKit call it a survey because it isn't a survey. It's a series of steps to confirm your previous order and then pay tax/shipping. But anyway...]

When you receive the email please do the following as soon as you can, depending on whether you want to have the game shipped to you (incurs shipping fees), or instead want local collection/pick-up at global Smoothie Wars HQ in Guildford UK (save money, no shipping fees!). 

Option 1: If you want the game shipped to you:

When you get to the screen below select your country and click 'Get Started!'

On the next screen, shown below, click 'Got it!', click 'Next: Add-ons', decide if you want to buy an additional game or even leave a tip and then click. 'Next'. You will see tax and shipping has been added. Proceed to enter your address and pay.

Option 2: If you want local collection/pick-up 

When you get to the screen below select 'Local Pickup' from the drop-down (it's 4th on the drop-down list) and click 'Get Started!'

• Follow the steps as per option 1 but when you have to add your address details type N/A in all the fields except country, which should say 'Local Pickup'
• If you get a message like below saying your address cannot be validated then ignore it and hit 'Submit Address'. Proeed to pay.

That's it! After that sit back and get ready to play! Thanks again for your support.

It's been an action-packed, juicy 17 days of a Kickstarter campaign and I am pleased to say Smoothie Wars smashed its funding target, hitting 259% of it to be precise. So a BIG thank you to you and all the supporters who got it to that number.

As I mentioned before, manufacturing in Spain has already started and I will keep you up-to-date on that.

The next step will be contacting you to collect any shipping and taxes on your purchase, both of which will depend on which country you live in. It should be in about two weeks and I'll notify you here when that process starts.

It's great to see the pledges still coming in and we are well past our funding target now.

It's also great to see very positive independent reviews of the game coming in too. One from Board Game Dad, who reviews family games -

Essen ended. Next phase starts

The incredible experience of Essen Spiel is over, with likely around 200k people attending! 

Smoothie Wars had its own special experience too, both up and down. Firstly we had some of our game components 'go missing' from our stand. Apparently this happened to several other new launches on Kickstarter who were at Essen. Fortunately we had spares so could continue but I understand some of the other publishers could not and I am sorry for the challenges that must cause them :(

More positively we were awarded a 'Projects we love' award by Kickstarter. 

Now the next phase starts with manufacture of the games over the next 6-7 weeks. I spoke to AGR, who were at the conference.

Meanwhile we want to continue to maximise our campaign. We have 10 days left and are at 170% of our target today. Please continue to spead the word.
